Memory tree made with your horses tail hair.
 
Please note this item can be made with mane hair if its long enough
 
I will require hair that is a minimum of 8” / 20 cm long and the thickness of 3 pencils for this entire length . Unused hair will be returned
 
The tree's trunk and branches are made using your horses hair entwined with wire, I will then add beads to the branches, the beads are made from semi-precious stones and shell in various sizes. I use around 120-150 beads per tree.
 
I will use a wire closest to you horse hair colour. Black for black hair ; Silver or white for white/grey hair ; Copper/bronze for Chestnut hair but if you require something different please let me know ( I can obtain coloured wires)
 
I will then complete the outer ring with the same colour as the wire.

You can choose any of the coloured beads for your tree, you can have just one colour or a mix of colours. I can place them irregular or in bands of colour. Please see photo examples. If you prefer another way please let me know.
 
'Entwined' The hair from more than one horse can be used, in this case each horse can have its own 'branch' with its own colours or I can use any colours and in any style that you prefer.
 
Horseshoe: please ensure your horseshoe is sent free of dirt. I will spray paint the shoe matt silver and the shoe will be attached with horseshoe nails. If you wish to paint your shoe or have it chrome plated before sending that is fine, I can also leave the shoe paint free.  
 
The tree measures 5”/12cm in diameter and the box frame measures 20" x 10" / 51cm x 25.5cm  and is fitted with plexiglass to avoid breakage in transit.
 
*please note, if your photo is landscape, then the frame will hang portrait.  If the photo is portrait then the frame will hand landscape
 
The photo measures 4" x 6" / 10cm x 15cm you can send me the photo with your hair or I can print it out for you, send to foxykeepsakes@@hotmail.com
 
A name plaque completes the frame with an engraving of your choice. Black or brushed silver.
